Cheshire Dance are bringing Karen Nelson over from the USA in April 2015

Karen Nelson is a dance improvisation artist, meditation practitioner, community activist and learner. She brings over 35 years of embodiment practices developed through the lenses of Contact Improvisation/Material for the Spine, Tuning Scores and Contemplative Dance Practice influenced by teachers Steve Paxton, Lisa Nelson, Barbara Dilley, Nancy Stark Smith and others Russell Delman in his school for Embodied Life TM (fusing meditation, Feldenkrais TM Awareness Through Movement and Embodied Dialogue/Focusing). She co-founded DanceAbility, Breitenbush Jam, Diverse Dance Research Retreat and the performance group Image Lab. She lives on Vashon Island and travels the wide world dancing.
