Jan Roe’s Response to Grania Pickard’s ‘He Ain’t Heavy’ Research & Development Phase

He Ain’t Heavy uses autobiographical material to explore the impact of having a severely disabled and autistic sibling, using direct address, audience interaction, floor and aerial movement, and puppetry. They spent their week developing a movement vocabulary and exploring the onstage relationship between the two performers. Jan’s sketches capture their unique movement language.
