This performance was part of our Autumn Season 2017
Danger, the fragility of existence and the desire to survive. How do we respond? With fear, anger, determination? What about hope? Last Man Standing draws from the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice as well as The Last Hero by Terry Pratchett.
It follows a female protagonist as her world falls apart around her. From the company that was last seen in Bournemouth with Leviathan, Last Man Standing is dance driven by unparalleled power and athleticism, performed by world class dancers. James Wilton’s work draws on martial arts, break dancing and capoeira to create raw, earthy and ground-breaking performance; all of this propelled by a trademark soundtrack of heavy rock, ambient music and textured soundscapes.
Save your breath, it may be your last.
