Natasha Player

Participation Producer (Maternity cover)

About me:

My role at PDSW is to support our Dance and Health program and to develop links in the community that build relationships with communities, organisations and individuals to encourage participation in dance and PDSW activities.

I draw from over 15 years’ experience of working with diverse communities, producing cross-art form and heritage projects and as a dance practitioner working with a range of ages in community, school and health settings.

Parkinson’s Dance Roll Out and Dancing for Dementia are two key programs for dance for health at PDSW. We run a flagship Parkinson’s dance class at PDSW on Friday’s and a roll out program in Dorchester, Sherborne and New Milton. I feel very humbled and honoured to work with some great dance artists and I have such a laugh with everybody taking part.

What is your favourite thing about working at PDSW?

Working with such talented, experienced professionals and an enthusiastic great bunch of people, focused on making dance happen on our doorstep. I love connecting communities with high quality dance and it’s a joy to witness the impact dance can have on peoples lives.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Visiting Dorset’s great coastline and forest’s, love taking part in sport, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Did you know?

I love to roller skate. Old school roller discos.
