New Conversation for Dance & Museums

Following a successful discussion last September at M Shed in Bristol, Sally Lewis (Museum Consultant) has been working with Zannah Doan (Regional Producer, Pavilion Dance South West, PDSW) on plans for a new network to connect people and share knowledge. Since the last conversation, resources have been added to the PDSW website, ideas generated at the September meeting have been assimilated into an action plan, and PDSW have supported a new collaboration between 3rd Stage Dance and Bristol Museums. The new conversation in June (supported by the SE Museum Development Programme), will provide a further opportunity to hear about recent dance and museum projects, encourage further networking between the sectors and discuss how the action plan can be used to take the network forward. There will be speakers from Arts Council England, Pavilion Dance South West, Petersfield Museum, the Horniman Museum, Plymouth Dance and Royal Museums Greenwich.
