We are delighted to be working with, and supporting, a range of artists across the 2022/23 season including:

BaseCamp Company

Joli Vyann – currently on tour with their new show ‘Timeless’ – is our BaseCamp Company this year. This means artists Olivia Quayle and Jan Patzke will be working in our studios regularly, developing new work and rehearsing.  Excited to see how that develops!

Guest Company

Meanwhile our Guest Company is Just Us Dance Theatre, led by choreographer Joseph Toonga.

Last seen at our Youth Day during our Summer Festival headliner weekend, Joseph and his company will be working with various groups throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) this year prior to our presentation of his new show in March 2023. Look out for this on our What’s On page.

Company in Residence

Following our open call earlier in the year, we are pleased to announce support of the following artists:

Sam Gilroy, is our Company in Residence 2022 – 23.  She will be developing F WORDZ, her uplifting and rebellious, feminist physical theatre work. You can book your FREE space for the performance HERE.

Sam joins Kay Crook (Chhaya Collective) and Ella Mesma as our powerhouse trio of South West based female choreographers!

Visiting Artists

Our three Visiting Artists for 2022/23 are all new to Pavilion Dance: Claud Tonietto, Kashish Gaba and Elena Cataleno. They will be exploring queer joy, immigration & Britishness and the post-natal body.

Claud is running a Queer Utopian Dreaming dance workshop in our studios on 17th August – book your FREE space HERE.

We can’t wait to see what else unfolds in our studios this Summer and Autumn!
