It was great to be part of Pride in Bournemouth once again and this year we partnered with Bourne Free to bring GLAM to the party!

GLAM, created by Etta Ermini & Van Huynh Company, warmed up the main stage with their dance circus cabaret combining heels, feathers and glitter with a deeper narrative about being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.  The community stage welcomed them later in the day where they put on an intense show full to the brim with colour, life and energy, despite the rain, and to great appreciation by the crowd.

“That was the best thing I have seen at a Pride. It really touched me, made me feel something. Now I want to hug everybody”

“A joyous celebration of diversity”

Pavilion Dance set up stall where a deeply competitive can-can kick competition attracted the crowds. Can can skirts appear regularly in Musicals and Burlesque classes at Pavilion Dance if you missed out…Participants ranged from all backgrounds, including competitors from different species (thanks Penelope Parley for raising a leg or two!).

Thanks for having us Bourne Free and to GLAM for such a great performance.  And to everyone involved, both within our team and in the wider community for making Pride 2023 such a great experience. 🌈 THANK YOU 🌈
