Love Dancing? Love the arts? Love Strictly? Then Business Come Dancing @Home 2021 is the glitterball-drenched fundraising event for you!
What is it?
This is a fundraising dance competition with a sprinkle of glitz and glamour!
Who is it for?
Members of the BCP business community who would like to raise money for an arts charity and have a fabulous time in the process. No dance experienced needed!
What does it involve?
PDSW will partner you with a professional dancer who will teach you a routine, and perform with you on the night. You will have 8 weeks for 8 hours of rehearsal in one of our beautiful dance studios at Pavilion Dance in Bournemouth. The competition will take place at a black tie Gala event on the evening of Saturday 27th February 2021, when you will perform your fantastic dance routine with your partner in our Ocean Room Theatre, in front of an audience of your family, friends and colleagues. There will be an invited panel of judges who announce the winner of BCD @Home 2021!
For the first time in the 5-year history of Business Come Dancing, a film will be made around the event, which will be available pay-per-view to your friends, family and colleagues which means no one needs to miss out on the performance!
This event should have taken place at the Marriott Hotel in November 2020, but has had to be postponed. This smaller Spring event is @ our Home, Pavilion Dance in Bournemouth. Also, this time you will be able to watch it @Home after the event, via an online link.
How do I fundraise?
Registration fee is £75 (normally paid by the company you are representing), and we ask that you raise a minimum of £300 through our Virgin Giving campaign, sell 8 tickets to the live event at £25 each, and a minimum of 10 online tickets at £12 each.
How will the event be Covid-secure?
Your routine will be side-by-side with your dance partner, so there will be no contact. We have a Covid-19 procedure in place for any visitors to the building to ensure that all government guidelines are being met. This can be seen here
PDSW has been hit very hard by Covid-19, and your help and support is needed now more than ever to help us continue bringing the joy and therapy of dance to our communities.
Come and join us! It will be an absolute (glitter)ball!

“It was an amazing evening and I still can’t quite believe we won!! Thank you for all your hard work looking after all of us” – Jane Joy of Hope Housing, Business Come Dancing Winner 2019
“It was such an amazing experience, I loved every minute, even with the nerves. I felt so proud of myself, and what I achieved, and have had such lovely comments from so many people, family, friends, and even those at the event supporting other dancers” – Phillipa Blunt, Filer Knapper LLP
“I can already say that after 2 lessons I LOVE it. For those hours you are in the lesson everything else ceases to matter and I feel I am truly ‘in the moment’, I leave feeling great each and every time. This can only be beneficial both to my physical and mental health and so raising money to help PDSW will in turn help others.” – Sarah Abbott, Sarah Abbott Gardens
