SW Dance Artists Network’s (SW DAN) “Lockdown boogie” is a project created by SWDAN as their creative response to the current lockdown restrictions.

In each short clip each artist has portrayed an ordinary moment of their life, making it extra-ordinary through dance!

With this short video, we hope to invite the community to see every moment as a special one, even when it is hard to believe so.

SW DAN would like to thank Northern School of Contemporary Dance and PDSW for supporting and commissioning this project.

SW Dance Artists Network (SW DAN) is a central hub for professional dance artists working in the region across performance, choreography, interactive arts and teaching.

It aims to provide peer support, an opportunity to network locally and access to continuous professional development and training.

From 2020, PDSW is pleased to offer some support to SW DAN in its creative journey.

Join in too – reach out and dance with us. Let’s connect through dance and create the nation’s biggest dance relay.

Hold up your hand or an object to the camera, move away and reveal your dance move and hand your relay object back to the camera for the next person to pick up!
