Last weekend’s B-Town Throwdown officially marked the end of a great Spring season here at PDSW. We’re moving straight into the summer season with an exciting new annual event bringing dance to Bournemouth, Poole and wider Dorset.

Discover, Play, Dream: Dance! is a celebration of dance in everyday places around Dorset – from our terraces to Corfe railway station! 

We will have all of these dance performances, an art installation and further opportunities to get involved throughout the event:

 

Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July: Steam, 11.40am & 2.20pm, Corfe Castle Station (FREE)

Saturday 2 July: West Howe Big Dance, 12-2pm, Kinson Festival of Music

Saturday 2 July: Cape Alley, 2pm & 5pm, PDSW South Terrace (FREE)

Saturday 2 July: Dancing Terraces – African Dance, 7-9pm, PDSW West Terrace (FREE)

Sunday 3 July: Phone Box, 1.30pm & 4pm, Bournemouth Square (FREE)

Wednesday 6 July: Creative Hub: Digital Disruption, 6pm, Pavilion Dance (£5)

Thursday 7 July: Da-Da-Darling, 7.30pm, Halo Nightclub (£12|£10|£8|£6)

Friday 8 July: Drawing Dancing, 6:30pm-8:30pm, AUB Drawing Studio (pay what you can, suggested donation £10)

The event will run between 2 – 10 July with events scattered all over the local area, most of which are free to attend. Grab a brochure from our foyer the next time you visit!

Many of the works, by some of the most interesting and exciting professional dance makers in the country, have been supported in their creative development by Pavilion Dance South West, so we are delighted to have created a way to share them with you beyond the Pavilion Dance building.
