On 18 & 19 March, Origins 2023 will bring together 16 different local youth dance companies, schools & crews to experience workshops, connect & dance together & perform in our Ocean Theatre. 

With one week to go we are delighted to announce our very special guest artists

Jade Lavinia Rumens

Jade Lavinia will be leading a Commercial workshop.  Jade is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer and YouTuber from Manchester now residing on the South Coast.  Jade’s eclectic training background has led her to soar through the Commercial Dance Industry as well as accumulating over 12 million views on YouTube for her dance content. Credits include: ADIDAS, NIKE, Selfridges, MTV, ITV & Sky Sports, Music Videos, Festivals, Maxx European Tour & more.  Follow @jadelaviniarumens

Albey Brookes

Albey will be leading a Musical Theatre workshop. Albey trained at The Arts Educational School Tring Park and has an array of theatre credits including Joe Vegas/Resident Director in ‘Fame’ (UK tour & Peacock theatre), Ensemble / Understudy Kassim in Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ (Prince Edward theatre), Ensemble / Understudy Johnny, Billy & Jordan Dirty Dancing (UK tour), Swing / Understudy Don Lockwood in ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ (UK tour), Ensemble / Understudy Sonny & Eugene in ‘Grease’ (UK tour).

Hannah Miles

Hannah Miles will be leading an Artist Insight Workshop, sharing her career pathway & the journey of  The Crisp Sandwich Cafe, an immersive dance experience for autistic young people (aged 14-24) created by Matthew Rawcliffe. Jane White

Jane White, Course Leader & Senior Lecturer (BA Hons Dance) at Arts University Bournemouth  will also be leading an Artist Insight Workshop about her brilliant work, the importance of dance education pathways, the course content at AUB & the partnership connections between AUB & Pavilion Dance
