Pavilion Dance South West are proud to announce support for Cathy Waller Company and their latest film project ‘Us’

‘Us’ is a new full length contemporary dance work that explores why we hide certain parts of ourselves, our emotions and our experiences. Through Cathy’s powerful movement vocabulary, invisibility is put centre stage, as audiences step into a choreographic world built on real life experiences. The work seeks to reveal new perspectives on the experience of invisibility in today’s world. Thought provoking, moving and entertaining, the work is driven by an original composition of live recorded orchestral and electronic music, by MOBO Award Winning Composer Lewis Wright.

Cathy said:

“The project gets underway in 2023, with a suite of work that puts hundreds of real stories of invisibility centre stage. Built initially on my experience of invisible disability, this work has transformed into the wider world of invisibility, and what that means to all of us. The investment from Pavilion Dance South West gives us the support to create our new dance film which will be captured entirely on drones, featuring our company of extraordinary dancers & young aspiring performers.”
