Pavilion Dance Digital is excited to announce our 2022 Digital Commission by Brooke Milliner: ‘Swipe Right’ will be available to watch on this link Wednesday 2nd November at 11am.

We’ll be running two Instagram lives that day to celebrate the release and talk more about the work:

1:30pm – Brooke and PDSW Digital Producer Lizzy Maries

7pm –  Brooke and Dancers

Selected through open call in February 2022, ‘Swipe Right’ is Brookes first interactive Screendance work.

Swipe Right is an original, Hip Hop digital dance work that explores the concept of online validation through social media. Bringing together some of the UK’s finest street dancers, Swipe Right shines a light on this widely accepted aspect of modern culture, inviting the viewer to make decisions about what happens next to deliver a poignant message on the consequences of digital connection.

Brooke said: “I was excited to receive the Pavilion Dance Digital Commission 2022 to develop Swipe Right. This commission has given me the opportunity to test new digital techniques such as branching, and use them to tell stories through screendance for the first time. It’s been brilliant to create work that shows the versatility of hip hop styles, something I strive to continue in the future.
