We are excited to have a regular reviewer for the autumn season of ‘Thursday Night is Dance Night’. make sure to see his poetic reviews of the perfomances. Here’s some more information about him:

DAVE YOUNG

Dave is a creative artist, poet, composer and performer. He is a member of the Remix Gold, an integrated performing arts company. He has performed at the Opening of the 2012 Sailing Olympics at Weymouth where Remix performed a piece called ‘Breathe, Battle of the Winds. As part of ‘Breathe’ Dave traveled to Brazil, where he worked with a Brazilian disability dance group and made links as part of the Olympic and Paralympic legacy. Remix Gold is currently devising a new circus piece called Touched which premiered at the Unlimited Festival this September on the SouthBank in London. The Remix Gold is a Diverse City project. Dave performed some of his poetry at the opening of the Paralympic games in Weymouth as part of the ‘Seen but Seldom Heard’ project, where he worked with academics from Bournemouth University and professional Performance Poets. Dave enjoys performing his poetry with the Freeway Poets in Bournemouth. Dave is currently working with Filip Jovanovic and Vladimir Anton on a work in progress for The Complete Freedom of Truth an Erasmus and Arts Council England funded international arts project. Dave is pleased to be invited back to PDSW to do poetic reviews for this seasons Dance performances, following a good reception to his poetic responses at the Integrated Dance Summit in May. This combines two of his favourite pastimes and he is particularly looking forward to seeing Playing Another by Candoco Dance and Pact with Pointlessness by Wendy Houston.
