Rewind Forward by Yorke Dance Project:
An exhilarating showcase representing the best choreography of the past, present and future, performed by six outstanding dancers.
When? Thu, 9 February, 7.30pm
“Having just read a biography of choreographer Sir Kenneth MacMillan I am really excited about seeing Rewind Forward!
It’s a mixed bill including one of MacMillan’s rarely performed works, Sea of Troubles, an interpretation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It was only performed in 1988/89, then picked up a couple of times in 1993, 2002 and 2003. It’s not been performed since.
I also remember Yorke Dance Project from their last visit in 2015: a terrific group of powerful dancers, technically strong and beautiful performers. It was one of my spring season highlights then and I’m hoping that I’m in for another treat.”
