PDSW are saddened to hear of the passing of Dance Artist Hannily Bendell.
Our Chief Executive Zannah Doan said:
“I was so sorry to hear that Hannily Bendell died last week. She was a beautiful dancer and a lovely person. I remember her dance in the Bath Central library in 2014 as part of our tour of libraries with a happy group of little children around her. Last year we sat on the steps outside Pavilion Dance and she told me of the films that she was making to support women with breast cancer. The idea was to transport the people that watch them to a beautiful setting and away from the monotony of being at home all day or in hospital.
Her blog “The Happy Healthy Dancer” was written and produced with great care: https://hannilysblog.com/
She did great work with Bath Dance, supported young talented dancers to achieve their goals and made a gentle and important contribution to dance in SW England.
Our thoughts go out to her family, friends and colleagues. She will be greatly missed.”
