What is Business Come Dancing?

Pavilion Dance South West’s corporate fundraiser is a popular Strictly-style event which we hold for the business community every year in Bournemouth. Our charity sees dance as a superpower with proven benefits on physical and mental health, which we witness first hand in groups such as our Parkinson’s Dance classes and our targeted health and wellbeing programmes in schools and community settings. With the support of sponsors and contestants, we hope to raise £25,000 from Business Come Dancing 2024.

What am I fundraising for?

Business Come Dancing has been running for over 10 years, inspiring our local business network to help Pavilion Dance creatively in fulfilling our mission to transform lives through dance. Money raised supports our charity in delivering programmes in our community which create accessible ways to participate in dance & movement, and reap all the physical and mental health benefits it brings.

What is it like as an event?

Business Come Dancing takes place at the Hilton Hotel on Friday 22nd November: 10 local companies will put forward a representative who will learn a routine with a pro dance partner over 10 weeks which they will perform in front of a 200-strong audience of family, friends and colleagues at a black tie gala. It’s a really exciting evening which also provides a chance to network with local businesses in a really unique environment, whilst contributing to the impactful work that we do in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Businesses who took part previously include:

Frettens LLP (taken part 3 times), Purple HR, Beales Group, Morgan Sindall, Hoare Lea, Savills Client Services (taken part 3 times), Rebbeck Brothers, Filer Knapper llp, #Willdoes charity (taken part twice), Coles Miller llp (taken part 3 times), Marsham Court Hotel, Digital Storm, Pure Town Planning, Bournemouth Town Centre BID, Barclays, Ward Goodman, Blu Boho Living.

When does it take place? Friday 22nd November 2024

How do I fundraise?  Through our online Givey fundraising campaign, a table of 12 tickets for your business at the event, and a donation on sign up. We will be supporting you with your fundraising with every step!

Business Come Dancing is always an incredible experience and participants often continue learning to dance with us long after the event is over! The event helps raise valuable funds for wellbeing and community projects across the BCP region.  Last year we raised £17,000 and this year we hope to beat that with your help!

Interested in taking part?
