The Arts Development Company are proud to officially launch their new website designed by Dorchester based web developers Alacrify.
As well as the usual ‘who we are and what we do’ information, the website is a great source of news, opportunities and events for the arts and culture sector in Dorset and beyond.
In addition to launching our website we are also celebrating young people’s talent from diverse backgrounds by commissioning artwork and photography to display in our ‘hot-desk’ area. The young people will be paid and their work will be for sale or return after 18 months.
One year on and The Arts Development Company continues to flourish. It’s been an interesting and exciting first year after our ‘spin out’ from the County Council to become a social enterprise company.
Taking on a listed building (The Little Keep) and becoming a landlord has meant additions to the usual workload with plenty of diverse jobs but we now have a fantastic building, almost full with other arts organisations and creatives. There are still a few offices and hot desks left to rent out if you are interested. (Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org)
We are also delighted to be working with the Dorset Growth Partnership to secure Arts Council England and European Union funding for the next three years. As ever European Union funding is vital for the economic prosperity of the county and this is no exception. The funding will allow us to support creative business development in Dorset, to bolster tourism and the economy, and to create new and exciting employment prospects for young people in the county. The funding will also allow us to recruit more staff for the company and we look forward to welcoming new team members in August.
