What is a literary agent? How do you become one? Does an author need an agent and how do they find the right one? Caroline Montgomery and her clients, award-winning children’s writer Catherine Bruton and queen of Noir, Cathi Unsworth, investigate.

Caroline Montgomery has spent her life immersed in publishing. Her agency celebrates its centenary in 2027 and represents a diverse range of writers.

Catherine Bruton is the award-winning children’s author of ‘No Ballet Shoes in Syria’ and ‘We Can be Heroes’.

Cathi Unsworth is the author of six noir novels and ‘Season of the Witch’, a history of Goth. She teaches for Arvon and CBC.
