Breath & Balance Workshop


Welcome the day in with this chair-based session that is relaxing and restorative. Julie will guide you through gentle flowing stretches to help melt away tension in the body and mind. An opportunity to experience breath led movement and explore the potential of your breath as a tool for an improved sense of peace and wellbeing.

No movement experience necessary.

Meet the workshop leader, Julie Hand

Julie has lived and worked in the Bournemouth area for the past 20 years facilitating movement for health through yoga, conscious breathing and, more recently, the Parkinson’s Dance Science Model. Her focus is on breath awareness and the benefits of breath led movement to promote health, well-being and peace of mind.

Julie studied at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in the mid 80s before going on to train to teach Exercise to Music. Later, introduced to yoga as a way of addressing her daughter’s respiratory health issues, she went on to qualify with the British Wheel of Yoga and has been teaching on a part-time basis since 2003. Helping people to find the joy of movement and BE in their bodies is her passion.
