Children, Autism and Dance Forum presents Artist’s Insights with Matthew Rawcliffe

Performance information
7th October 2022
Running time: 60 minutes

As part of our Children, Autism & Dance Forum we’re delighted to present a live presentation and Q&A in our Ocean Theatre with dance artist, Matthew Rawcliffe.

In this session you’ll hear more about the creation of The Crisp Sandwich Cafe, an autism-friendly performance, created for young people.

During the first half of the session, Matthew will talk through the creation process and research period for the project. The last half of the session will be a handling session to look through the resources created to help make the performance accessible.  He will also be joined by Autism Keyworker, Hannah Miles for an informal Q&A session.

Matthew Rawcliffe works internationally as a dance artist & choreographer & was grand finalist in BBC Young Dancer 2019. Hannah Miles is Autism Keyworker for the project & teaches regularly for Ransack Dance and True Fit Collective.

Hosted by Young People’s Producer Matt Hawksworth, this session is for teachers, parents, carers, dance promoters and any adults championing and working with children and autism.
