Children, Autism & Dance Forum presents: In conversation with Amy McGowan

Performance information
7th October 2022
Running time: 45 minutes

As part of our Children, Autism & Dance Forum we’re delighted to host a live Zoom presentation and Q&A with special guest Amy McGowan.   Amy is an inspiring Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and Designated Teacher at Sedgefield Community College in County Durham.

Amy, her team & her pupils were featured in the BBC documentary Paddy & Christine McGuiness: Our Family and Autism. (Available on BBC iPlayer – PLAY NOW).

This live online Zoom discussion looks to raise awareness, increase our understanding of autism, explore how best we can support & champion our young people & hear examples of children thriving.  Once you’ve booked you will receive a link for joining the Zoom session on the day.

Booking for this event closes at 3pm on Thursday 6th October.

Hosted by Young People’s Producer Matt Hawksworth, this session is for teachers, parents, carers, dance promoters and any adults championing and working with children and autism.

This special discussion will be recorded & available online for a limited period of time.
