PDSW presents a selection of UK artists working within the various fields of dance and technology today. This full day of online activity – webinars, presentation, demonstration and panel discussion – explores new work using robotics, AI, AR and motion capture. Artists including New Movement Collective, Neon Dance and makeAMPLIFY join us with their industry and creative collaborators to explore their practice or present work being made for 2021 and beyond.


09.30 – 09.45am  The Upload: Signing in, Welcome and Introductions

09.45 – 10.45am  Presentation and Artist Q&A: Transforming public spaces through arts and tech with makeAMPLIFY and Laura Kriefman

11.15am – 12.15pm  Presentation and Discussion: Immersive dance play and the interactive space with Lisa May Thomas

12.45 – 1.15pm  Artist Pitch: Prehension Blooms by Neon Dance

2.15 – 2.45pm  Presentation: How we’re using AR to distribute our work, develop new income streams and reach new audiences & clients  with Kwesi Johnson

3 – 4.30pm  Presentation, Demonstration and Panel Discussion: New Movement Collective present Project XO

4.45 – 5.30pm  Panel Discussion: Movement Data Movement: Motion Capture and the representation of body with Alex Whitley

5.30pm  The Download: Closing remarks and thanks
