How early should I arrive?
We recommend arriving around 15 minutes beforehand – this gives you time to collect your tickets, if necessary, purchase any refreshments and get seated before the show starts.
Are the seats allocated?
For performances in our theatre seats are allocated. If you would like help with choosing where to sit in the theatre please give our box office a call on 01202 203630.
You will find your seat number printed on your ticket. If you are having trouble finding your seat just ask one of our members of staff/volunteers and they will be happy to help you out!
Can I take pictures or videos?
We do not permit photo or video during performances and we ask that you kindly switch off all electronic devices upon entering the theatre so as not to impact on the enjoyment of others.
Can I buy refreshments?
Yes! We have a bar located in our foyer stocked with drinks and snacks. You can purchase refreshments here prior to the show, during an interval or on your way out of the performance.
Where can I park?
There are many car parks nearby to our venue, including the main Pavilion pay and display car park.
Is there a lift?
If you are unable to take the stairs, there is a lift down from the Pavilion level to our front door. You can find this down the right side of the main Pavilion building.
What is a ‘post-show chat’?
This is a chance for the audience to feed back to the artists directly as well as ask any questions about the show. These chats take place in our foyer after the show has ended and are very informal.
How long is the performance?
Performances vary in length – if you would like to know the length of a particular show, please call our box office on 01202 203630.
Is there an interval?
Some shows have an interval, some don’t – it all depends on how long the show is! Please speak to a member of the box office team for details.
How do I collect my tickets?
Your tickets will be kept at our box office in the main foyer. You can either collect them in advance of the show or you can collect them on the night. Simply speak to one of our lovely staff on the front desk and let them know that you’ve already booked. Please note: you may be asked for your postcode and the card you paid with.
Do I need to print my email confirmation?
Printing tickets can be such a faff! Not to worry – we have all of the information we need on our booking system. Simply let us know your name and how many tickets you’ve booked and we can find your tickets for you! We may also need your postcode and the card you paid with.
Are there concessions?
Select shows have concessions – this information will always be show on the listing on the website. Simply visit the page of the event you wish to attend and scroll down to the ‘Pricing Options’ section!
How do group tickets work?
Group tickets grant a slight discount per person and are usually based on a minimum number of people in a group (e.g. 10+)
I have booked a ticket but I can’t make it. Can I get a refund?
Sorry, but our tickets are non-refundable.
Is there a way of avoiding the booking charge?
The booking charge is applied to all card transactions – that includes credit and debits card. However, we do not apply a booking fee to cash payments.
What is dance theatre?
Dance theatre combines dance, speaking, singing and chanting, conventional theatre and the use of props, set, and costumes – all in one performance.
Does ‘suitable for 4+’ mean that my 12 year old will not enjoy the show?
Not at all! This is simply a recommendation for a minimum age.
My 4 year old really enjoys theatre but doesn’t like to sit still for too long. Is that ok?
Our children’s shows run slightly shorter than our other live performances – usually under an hour. To find out more about the running times of performances, please call the box office on 01202 203630.
Do you provide child care?
Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to provide child care so it must be arranged by ticketholders before attending a show.
Do you have baby changing facilities?
We have baby changing facilities in our changing rooms.
