Yorke Dance Project  performs Lockdown Portraits

Choreography by Sir Robert Cohan

Music by Nils Frahm & Ólafur Arnalds

Pavilion Dance South West team up with the celebrated Yorke Dance Project for these specially-designed, on-location, preview performances of Lockdown Portraits, Sir Robert Cohan’s remarkable series of solo dances. Audiences will be guided along a hidden trail, journeying from the heart of the town to the majesty of the seafront, as they encounter each of these compelling solo works in unique environments. Created by Cohan via Zoom during lockdown, these portraits celebrate each dancer’s strength and resilience amidst the loneliness and isolation of the Covid-19 pandemic. As some of Cohan’s final works, these solos harness the power of dance to express the triumph of the human spirit.
