TRIBE//s debut work Still I Rise is a call to arms performed by an all-female cast. Raw, gutsy, emotive and visceral dance work from choreographer Victoria Fox creates a stark world where the dancers push forwards with uplifting determination.
The work channels the resilient, unapologetic nature of the iconic poem by Maya Angelou. An unflinching and relentless hope for the human spirit, dynamic movement, a full bodied urgency combined with a cinematic soundtrack from pounding beats to classical arias, drives the journey onwards suggestive of our human viciousness and vulnerability.
Falling down, gathering up… we rise.
