Explore the different routes to publication and choose what is best for you

Alex Thompson, Business Development Manager at Troubador Publishing

Navigating the literary landscape involves critical choices. One of the biggest authors come across is whether to pursue traditional publishing, partnership publishing, or self-publishing. Each avenue holds advantages and considerations. Traditional publishing offers the prestige of established houses but relinquishes some creative control and is enormously competitive. Partnership publishing strikes a balance, sharing responsibilities and profits with a responsible publishing partner, but finding the right provider is challenging. Self-publishing empowers authors with autonomy but can demand a comprehensive skill set for book production and marketing. The decision hinges on individual goals, preferences, and resources and is not a straightforward one to make. This session will help authors make an informed choice about the publishing route they want to take and help them align their choices with their unique vision for success.
