This fun and sassy Burlesque dance class in Bournemouth is a fabulous way to finish the week and start the weekend! Combining the traditional burlesque dance style with modern and vibrant songs this class will bring out your inner Diva!
What To Expect
Teacher Ruby Adams brings out the performer in you and creates fun, energising and big music routines that will get you moving, laughing and strutting all at once. Each week is a new routine, building new skills and confidence, sometimes working with the ballet barre, sometimes with a chair. There’s never a dull moment!
You’ll learn all the basic skills of Burlesque from fan dancing, glove removal, chair dancing, prop work, stage craft and more. Dance just for fun in class or there’s an opporunity to perform at our Revue showcase at the end of Autumn and Spring terms.
It’s the class you didn’t know you needed until you’ve tried it!

What shoes should I wear to my class?
Our studio floors are especially designed for your comfort and safety. They can mark easily and we ask that you wear light soled trainers (grey or white) or non-marking dance shoes. Some classes (for example ballet and tap) may require specific footwear, but trainers can also be worn to these classes. If you are new to a class, just attend in trainers and your teacher can advise for future classes.
What clothes should I wear?
Just wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Your teacher will advise you if you should wear anything specific in the future.
How do I know if this class is for me?
Most classes are for mixed abilities, from beginners upwards. Where you might need some knowledge, classed are marked as 'Intermediate' or 'Advanced' as an example. The front desk team can advise you on 01202 203630 if you have any questions on this.
What else should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle with you. We have water fountains to fill up your bottle.
Can I buy this class for less than the advertised price?

Do you have changing rooms?
Yes, we have changing rooms, lockers (£1 coin required), toilets and showers.
What do I do on arrival?
Please check in with the front desk team. We’ll check you in on our register and send you to the correct studio. Please note that sometimes we need to move classes around so you may not always be in the same studio.
