Join dance teacher Hannah Malone for brand new Commercial dance classes at our dance studios in Bournemouth. This class is both for beginners and those looking for high energy, bold routines with a nod to street, jazz, hip hop, pop and commercial styles. What shoes should I wear to my class?
Our studio floors are especially designed for your comfort and safety. They can mark easily and we ask that you wear light soled trainers (grey or white) or non-marking dance shoes. Please don't dance in the same shoes that you arrived in if possible. You can leave your outdoor shoes on our shoe racks outside the studios or in our lockers inside the changing rooms. Some classes (for example ballet and tap) may require specific footwear, but trainers can also be worn to these classes. If you are new to a class, just attend in trainers and your teacher can advise for future classes.
What clothes should I wear?
Just wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Your teacher will advise you if you should wear anything specific in the future.
How do I know if this class is for me?
Most classes are for mixed abilities, from beginners upwards. Where you might need some knowledge, classed are marked as 'Intermediate' or 'Advanced' as an example. The front desk team can advise you on 01202 203630 if you have any questions on this.
What is the age range in a class?
You do need to be 18 years or old to attend one of our standard classes. Apart from that, unless the title or event description of the class says otherwise, all ages usually attend. If you are under 18, check our the Youth filter on our classes listings and our Community and Education page.
Can I buy this class for less than the advertised price?
Yes you often can! Buy a ticket bundle and save on classes for up to a year until your bundle runs out. Find out more HERE.
What else should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle with you. We have water fountains to fill up your bottle. If you have a £1 coin, this would be useful for the lockers but our front desk team can also help you with locker tokens.
Do you have changing rooms?
Yes, we have changing rooms, lockers (your own returnable £1 coin or locker token from the front desk required), toilets and showers.
What do I do on arrival?
Please check in with the front desk team. We’ll check you in on our register and send you to the correct studio. Please note that sometimes we need to move classes around so you may not always be in the same studio.
