About World Ballet Day Workshop

To celebrate World Ballet Day, we are hosting a fun and fabulous 2-hour workshop in our spacious seafront studio at Pavilion Dance South West. The class will be led by Natasha Tobin, PGCE Dance Teaching (RAD/University of Bath), a RAD Silver Swans Licensee and a specialist in adult learning in dance. The session will include a warm up ballet barre and a variety of repertory routines from famous classical ballets. These is likely to include the Odette variation from Swan Lake, and another ballet, such as Raymonda.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and also adults with a little more experience. For beginners, the original choreography is adapted into easy to follow combinations with lots of star ballerina quality impact, and for those dancers who are a little more experienced, we can develop the combinations in each variation to include pirouettes, sissonnes etc. There will opportunities for photographs, and you are welcome to dress-up for the occasion, express yourself through these beautiful creations and have fun.
