RIDE by Zoielogic Dance Theatre

Zoielogic Dance Theatre has a two decade long record for creating dance which is engaging and fun. One of the company's strongest works for outdoor settings is Ride, a twenty minute performance in which the paths of three very different men collide on their journey in a car with a mind of its own. It’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with an ‘80s vibe, an athletic physicality and daring stunts, and features a real car which rotates and pivots to provide the performance playground.
These four souls, three men and one machine take a strange, exciting journey together, on which they discover and explore man and machines reliance on each other, and themselves. Commissioned and co-produced by DanceXchange for IDFB 2016, co-commissioned by Gulbenkian (University of Kent) & Dance Village at Bristol Harbour Festival.
I came for the car, stayed for the story, and left with the biggest grin.
