Young Choreographers Intensive with Chandenie Gobardhan
Join us on 7-8th February 2026 for a weekend of mentoring with one of the UK's most exciting choreographers
This year’s Young Choreographers’ intensive weekend will be led by the sensational Chandenie Gobardhan.
Chandenie (she/they) is a Dutch London-based Hindostaanse artist working across movement, memory, and ritual. Their choreographic language blends elements of Bharatanatyam, street styles, and contemporary dance, creating work that is both intimate and expansive.
Chandenie’s work invites audiences to look again, to feel deeper, and to question what they think they know. The stage becomes their altar - a space of offering, remembering, and reimagining.
Their works have been presented at The Place, Breakin’ Convention at Sadler’s Wells, Tate Britain, DanceEast, Orsolina28 Art Foundation, Korzo Theatre, Messums Wiltshire Festival of Dance, and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
