February Ceilidh
with Bristol Ceilidh Quartet and caller Hannah Moore
About February Ceilidh
Join us for our first Ceilidh for 2026! Returning to our Ocean Theatre, Bristol Ceilidh Quartet and caller Hannah Moore will lead you through an evening of fun social dances and jigs to live music.
About Bristol Ceilidh Quartet
The Bristol Ceilidh Quartet brings together three talented English folk fiddlers and a dynamic cellist to create a powerful, high-energy string sound. Blending great traditional tunes with exciting arrangements, they explore the full range of the string quartet while keeping the focus firmly on the dance floor. With many years of experience playing for traditional dance, every note is designed to get feet tapping and keep dancers moving.
What is a Ceilidh?
A ceilidh (pronounced Kaylee) is a social folk dance rooted in Celtic traditions. A caller leads participants through each dance, ensuring everyone can join in and have a great time. You do not need a partner or experience. The emphasis is on enjoying the rhythm, laughter, and connection with fellow dancers.
Held in our stunning Ocean Theatre, our ceilidhs are open to everyone. These events are more than just dances; they’re an opportunity to share in the joy of music, movement, and community.
Book your tickets early to secure your place – our ceilidhs often sell out!
