Pick Apart a Picture Book

Understanding techniques that make a stand-out picture book.

Do you have picture book ideas, but struggle with structure, pace, tension and other ingredients that make a story sing? When word count is limited, masterful technique is key to a winning story. In this session, we put some well-known, enduring picture books under the microscope to unlock the secrets of their success. 

Participants may submit one picture book text to Kate for critique. Details will be provided at the event.
