New Waves Scratch Night (Edition 3)

About New Waves Scratch Night (Edition 3)
New Waves - the Pavilion Dance scratch night - returns to our stage!
Scratch nights are a chance for professional artists to show works in progress and gain audience feedback. It's a useful tool when making live performance work because audiences have been part of the making process.
You don't need any specialist dance knowledge to give feedback, just a curiosity about how dance works are made. There will be an hour of performance followed by a feedback session in small groups.
Introducing our full line-up...
Ozzy Berzin Cohen with ‘Cloudburst Re Sketched’
A duet about the intimacy, comfort and absurdity of a long-term friendship. A celebration of private jokes, secret handshakes and besties!
Sneha Semaleesan with ‘What Am I Doing?’
A Bharatanatyam-based solo that explores the everyday realities of navigating ADHD, questioning the invisible yet ever-present tension between what we’re “meant” to do and what we actually want to do.
MIVA with 'Slip into my skin'
A work which asks how we navigate a world saturated with information while holding onto our capacity for empathy and human connection.
C(P)LAY with ‘Price of Silence’
This work explores adaptation, compliance, and shifting power dynamics within intimate relationships. Through a physically demanding duet, the performers investigate how behavioural patterns are learned, repeated, resisted, and embodied over time.
