Two days of events, screenings, film related talks, and activities with 5 feature films, 2 blocks of short films, a Macabre Market and amazing event parties.
For the first time in 2026, the festival is engaging with local artists & South West based vendors with a host of artwork, clothing, and collectable film memorabilia for sale as part of the event. Also included off site will be after show parties to make even more amazing moments.
On Saturday the 14th, for those interested in film making, there will be access to brand new Industry hub talks off-site, 1-to-1 sessions, a screenwriting competition and an opportunity to see films you might’ve missed from the main screen.
The full festival pass gives you the opportunity to purchase the whole festival right now! The full programme will be announced by Screams By The Sea in January 2026.
Please note, this event is an 18 Certificate. Those attending under the age of 25 should bring ID. The purchase of this pass is for activities across two dates or part thereof.

Where is Pavilion Dance?
We are situated in the same building at the Pavilion Theatre in central Bournemouth but have our own venue and our own entrance. You can find out how to get to us here or just give us a call on 01202 203630.
Do you have a bar or food outlet?
We sell all the things you'd expect to find at a theatre bar and we will be open before the final film on each day. We sell hot drinks and snacks and have a free vend water machine. For lunches, there are cafes to either side of our building as well as the twon centre just minutes away.
Where are the toilets?
We have plenty of modern facilities including accessible toilets across our section of the building.
How do I get my tickets?
You can receive your tickets via email and can either print them out or and them direct to your phones wallet. On the day, please check in at the festival desk where you may be given a festival writ band.
Can I get a refund?
We cannot offer refunds, however you can purchase Ticket Protection from our partners at Secure My Booking along with your tickets today. This could help you reclaim the value of your purchase if for instance you should fall ill or have a travel problem. Claims are made directly with Secure My Tickets.
Can children attend this event?
This event is strictly for people 18 and over due to the horror themes and the ratings placed upon films by the BBFC. This also extends to talks and vendor areas due to potential themes under discussion. Therefore we cannot admit those under 18. Anyone under 25 should have an ID in case they are challenged by a member of venue or festival staff. ID could include a passport, drivers licence or official digital ID recognised by cinemas.
Is there a place to put luggage, bags or coats?
Yes, there is a room with lockers (£1 required) where items can be stored at the owners risk. Please note that in line with venue policy, we may ask to look in your bag at any point. Please do not bring luggage or large bags (rucksacks etc) into the building.
