About Singing for Parkinson's
Join Singing for Parkinson’s leader Fiona, for a joyous singing workshop. In this session Fiona will lead us through a series of music moments that exercise our voices in a helpful and uplifting way.
Meet the workshop leader
Fiona is a registered Music Therapist. She holds an MSc in Dementia Studies and has specialist training in the Sing 2 Beat for Parkinson's.
A professional musician and successful composer and songwriter with teaching experience of over 25 years, Fiona has worked in the healthcare sector for the last 12 years. She is passionate about using music as a means of communication and connection to increase feelings of wellbeing, inclusion and socialization. Fiona leads the CODA Parkinson's choir in New Milton, established in 2024 and has recently formed the Romsey Parkinson's choir in association with Parkinson's UK
She has presented her work at the UK Dementia Congress and has been published in both National and International care journals. Fiona will also be presenting her work with her Parkinson’s group at the World Music Therapy Congress in Bologna in July 2026.
