Origins showcases South West youth dance talent at our seaside venue

Origins youth dance platform was back this March, showcasing the next generation of dance talent. Over the weekend we welcomed 14 groups from across the region, presenting new performances and choreography in our Ocean Theatre.  For some it was their first ever performance together on stage.

The weekend featured industry workshops with professional artist and choreographer Riley Woodford and talks with industry artist, producer and choreographer Jenna Hubbard on safe practice and staying injury free.

On Saturday we welcomed performances from: Milton Abbey School, Aspiring Dancers Programme, Hampshire Youth Dance Company, Coast Youth Dance Company, Fuzzy Logic, Studio 1 and NAO. 

On Sunday we enjoyed performances from: Dorset Youth Dance, Geraldine Lamb Dance Company, Somerset Youth Dance Company, Ballard School, The Remix, Rise Youth Dance Company and Dance Stables.

A huge thanks to everyone for making the journey to our venue by the sea.  And great to see lots of groups enjoying some beach time in between sessions and rehearsals!
