News Story

A vibrant summer of dance is set to hit the seaside this August, as a team of acclaimed industry professionals come together to lead an intensive three-day workshop series for young dancers.

Designed for those aged 11-14  and 15-18 with some prior experience, the programme offers not just energetic training, but a rare chance to learn directly from performers and choreographers working at the highest levels of the industry.

Broadway and West End stars Landyll Gove and Ryan Gover to open Summer School

Leading the opening day of Jazz and Musical Theatre on 11th August are West End performers Llandyll Gove (straight from The Last Ship on Broadway) and Ryan Gover (Mary Poppins Tour, 2025).

Both bring extensive stage experience to the studio, offering students insight into the precision and performance quality required for professional musical theatre. Their session blends technical jazz foundations with expressive storytelling, reflecting the demands of live theatre.

On 12th August, the focus shifts to Street and Commercial dance, guided by Charlotte Fernandes and Rich Smith. Known for their dynamic teaching styles and connections to the commercial dance scene, the pair will introduce participants to current industry trends, blending high-energy routines with stylistic versatility often seen in music videos and live performances.

The final day, 13th August, features Contemporary dance led by Katie Neal and Jazz Gritt. Their workshop promises a physically demanding exploration of floorwork and expressive choreography, challenging dancers to push their technical and creative boundaries.

The workshops are not only about technique, but also about connection—giving young dancers the opportunity to meet like-minded peers while working closely with professionals who understand the pathway into the industry.

You can book one day at £45 per session or all 3 days for £120.
