The Snails' Dragon Tale sets off on the school tour trail

News Story
This term we're off on a local school tour with our wonderfully wintery show The Snails' Dragon Tale.
Created by local dance artists Jazz Gritt and Katie Neal, the story is inspired by Martin Maudsley’s story The Blood Stone, set in Maiden Castle, Dorchester. The tour takes in 9 schools who will be treated to a performance, workshops and local history talks from Dorset History Centre ahead of the show. There will also be a home ed group showing in our venue. This fun, interactive show with a local twist starts off at St Catherine's Primary school in November and will end at Malmesbury Park School in December.
Jazz and Katie said;
“We are absolutely thrilled to take The Snails' Dragon Tale on tour. It's been great fun creating the piece and as artists born and raised in Bournemouth, this opportunity to bring the arts directly to children in our local schools, especially during the festive season when access might be limited, is incredibly important to us. This show is all about immersing young audiences (and their teachers) in a local myth, tracing the adventurous journey of Scarlet and Sandy. We can't wait!"
