News Story

We’re thrilled to announce that Sivan Rubinstein will be joining Pavilion Dance as our new Associate Artist for 2025–2027. A London-based choreographer, director, and researcher, Sivan is recognised for creating bold, highly visual dance works that explore the intersections of art, philosophy, and social change.

I’m truly honoured and thrilled .... and very excited for what is to come. Thank you for choosing me to be part of this journey!

Sivan Rubinstein, Pavilion Dance Associate Artist 2025 - 27

Her work spans themes of migration, identity, and climate, with notable projects including the Climate Futures Series, Migration Through Dance, and the NOVO Series. Sivan’s pieces have been presented at major venues and festivals such as Sadler’s Wells, The Place, Turner Contemporary, and internationally across Europe and China.

Currently a WorkPlace Artist at The Place and Artist in Residence at Cambridge University, Sivan continues to expand her interdisciplinary practice, blending movement, projection, and installation. Her recent solo exhibition, Embodied Activism at Aspex Gallery, explored the body’s relationship to space, resilience, and global transformation.

As a neurodiverse artist, Sivan also champions new pedagogical approaches through her initiative Beat Space Beat, exploring creative learning through a neurodivergent lens. Her collaborations include the Wellcome Trust, Trinity Laban, Dance4, and Magpie Dance.

We’re honoured to welcome Sivan into the Pavilion Dance community and can’t wait to see how her thought-provoking, boundary-pushing work continues to evolve over the next two years.
