Perfect for dancers of all skill levels, our class offers a wonderful way to learn various ballroom styles, improve your technique, and enjoy the joy of partner dancing.
This class is taught in partners, so whilst you don’t need to bring a friend with you or book as a couple, please be prepared to partner up with another participant and either “lead” or “follow” within the session! No experience necessary!
What to Expect
Join dance teacher Lawrence James in learning a variety of ballroom dances, including the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, and more. Master the smooth, flowing movements that define ballroom dance, enhancing your posture and poise. Improve your lead and follow techniques, focusing on connection, communication, and synchronisation with your dance partner. Enjoy a fun and social atmosphere, perfect for meeting new people and making friends.
Frequently Asked Questions
What shoes should I wear to my class?
Our studio floors are especially designed for your comfort and safety. They can mark easily and we ask that you wear light soled trainers (grey or white) or non-marking dance shoes. Some classes (for example ballet and tap) may require specific footwear, but trainers can also be worn to these classes. If you are new to a class, just attend in trainers and your teacher can advise for future classes.
What clothes should I wear?
Just wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Your teacher will advise you if you should wear anything specific in the future.
How do I know if this class is for me?
Most classes are for mixed abilities, from beginners upwards. Where you might need some knowledge, classed are marked as 'Intermediate' or 'Advanced' as an example. The front desk team can advise you on 01202 203630 if you have any questions on this.
What else should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle with you. We have water fountains to fill up your bottle.
Can I buy this class for less than the advertised price?

Do you have changing rooms?
Yes, we have changing rooms, lockers (£1 coin required), toilets and showers.
What do I do on arrival?
Please check in with the front desk team. We’ll check you in on our register and send you to the correct studio. Please note that sometimes we need to move classes around so you may not always be in the same studio.
