About Groove to Improve

Are you living with long-term low back pain?

Discover the joy of moving to music in a welcoming, supportive space.

I can see a big difference in how I feel and move throughout my whole body. It’s been a great experience, opening up a lovely new way of keeping my body moving and stronger!

Developed in partnership with the Health Sciences University, Groove to Improve is a fun dance class designed to help you move with more ease, confidence, and freedom. This unique class blends dance and wellbeing for people living with long-term low back pain.

No dance experience? No problem! Seated options are available, and no partner is needed. All we ask is that you’re able to take part without the support of a carer.

Why join?

  • Pre-class social cuppa from 10:15am
  • Enjoy moving in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
  • Build confidence and stay active
  • Connect with others in a sociable setting
  • Be guided by experienced, compassionate teachers

The class is led by Aimee Hobbs and Samantha Gillingham, a dynamic duo with extensive experience in dance for wellbeing (please note this is not a clinical class).
