Job Description

Pavilion Dance South West is hosting the South West Dance Summit as an opportunity for programmers, producers and artists to get together in person for the first time since 2019. A day for connection, discussion, exploration and more. It will take place at our venue in Bournemouth on Thursday 26 March 2026.

As part of this day, we’d like to feature and champion work made in our region. We’re therefore looking for up to 6 South West-based dance and movement artists who either have a finished work ready for touring or have an idea for a new project which needs support.

You will be pitching your work live in front of an audience of industry programmers and peers in our Ocean Theatre.

Your pitch should be a presentation of up to 15 minutes. This can be computer-based, live demonstration/excerpt or a combination of both.

You can be based in any region of the South West and your work can be in any genre of dance.

Each artist chosen to pitch will be given a fee of £165 and will also qualify for travel and accommodation support if required.

How to apply

If you would like to apply, please complete the application form by Friday 23 January 2026.

Alternatively, you can submit an application via video or voice note (no more than 5 minutes) outlining: your contact details, where you’re based, the project you wish to pitch and the support you are looking for. You will also need to send us a filmed example of your work. Please send your files to jobs@pdsw.org.uk with ‘SW Summit 2026 Artist Pitch’ in the subject line.
