Living and working as a freelance dancer and teacher, Claire has travelled across the the UK working for various dance companies and projects. She was a key member of internationally acclaimed dance company Motionhouse for seven years, touring the globe performing and teaching for the company. In 2012 she established Motionhouse Youth and was appointed to the role of Lead Artist – Creative Projects and Participation. She went on to develop the company’s extensive outreach and community dance programme.

Now based in Dorset, Claire leads and directs Pavilion Dance’s ‘Co-Evo’ dance company. Claire is also currently part of the Arts University Bournemouth Dance Degree team, delivering various components of the course. Her freelance work allows her to continue to create and choreograph for dance film, colleges and HE establishments. A recent example of this was ‘Tess’ which was performed in the Inside Out Festival in 2021.

Claire was the recipient of Pavilion Dance’s first commission for Children and their Grown Ups in 2021 for ‘Plastic Paradiso’, a production for 4 – 11yrs which toured the UK in autumn 2023. We are currently preparing future touring in 2024.
