Change Maker

The Changemaker role was introduced in 2019 to evolve and explore inclusive programming and practices throughout Pavilion Dance South West and ensure our work and our approach are as diverse and inclusive as possible.

The role of the Changemaker is about challenging us and our current practices, to share their experiences and learn from them and to connect us to specific groups and communities.

In 2019 we appointed Natasha Player as our first Change Maker to strengthen our work with and relevance to African, Caribbean and Indian communities.  Cathy Waller became our Change Maker in 2021-22 helping to shape our recruitment process and guidance on improving inclusivity for disabled people.  Ben Payne joined us as Change Maker in 2022-23 to focus on our LBGTQIA+ communities and practice and Corrie Drew has joined us in 2023-24 with a socio-economic focus to evolve our work and practice with priority neighbourhoods in the BCP area.
